Today, I had my first (and hopefully not last) group meeting with a few other new moms. I met each person a different place--yoga, pump station, on the street--and I thought it would be a good idea to get together. Since we have ridiculously warm weather right now, we all thought meeting at a park would be best. And, as luck would have it, I live just down the street from a park with a view of not only the Santa Monica Mountains, but also the Pacific Ocean!
Amelia seemed thrilled to be outside today. There was a slight breeze but it was definitely NOT cold. She's had conjunctivitis for the last week and today seemed like the first day her eye wasn't oozing goo. At the park, she smiled and cooed and laughed a little. That, of course, made me quite happy!
Tomorrow Grandma Janis is going to drive down from Northern California with Linda C. The two grandmothers will visit their respective grandchildren for the weekend. They have already decided this will be a monthly trip. Seems like a wonderful thing for the little girls. Ellie, Linda's granddaughter, will be turning 1 on February 5th.
Lots of birthdays coming up! Ambra's birthday yesterday. Leslie's birthday tomorrow. My brother's birthday on Sunday! Happy Birthday!
