Amelia is now almost 12 weeks old! I can not believe how quickly these last close to three months have flown by. I think sleep deprivation makes every day blur one into the next. I have so many things to write but of course, I can not remember any of them! As my friend Marcy said, blame it on MOMNESIA!
Today was a beautiful Southern California day. Amelia and I went for a walk down to the promenade in Santa Monica and were accompanied by our friend and neighbor, Alyson. I bought a few things at the farmer's market and then wanted to head over to the library. Along the way I ran into my friend Dea who has a little girl named Winter and is 30 weeks pregnant. It was exciting to see them out and about. Winter loves babies and couldn't get enough of Amelia. She kept touching her soft skin and has a thing for baby feet! It was adorable to watch Winter caress Amelia's face, head, hands and feet with her own tiny hands!
Since we were gone for a few hours, it looked to be time to feed Amelia. Thankfully I have a place I can go! My friends Rohnda and Maggie work downtown too. Rohnda owns a skin care salon and Maggie works there. They love it when I come over and Amelia gets tons of attention from them. I think Amelia loves it too. She was smiling up a storm today. Makes me wish I would have brought my camera! After a feeding a quick diaper change, we headed out for the rest of our errands. Library. Post office. Walk home. We took the long route and strolled along Ocean Ave. so I could watch the Pacific and the beautiful mountains. We had lots of wind yesterday which blew all the crap out (out where, I'm not sure).
The pictures I am posting are from Tuesday. My mom came over to help me for the afternoon and I took a few of Amelia then. She's now smiling and laughing and occasionally makes cooing and talking noises. It's so darn cute!

I love how you write about Amelia and the days events, it is not only fun to read but the pictures are adorable of Amelia. She is a pleasure to be with and both Dad and I love having the opportunity to be close and a part of her life. You are so very fortunate to have so many friends near.
Love Mom and Grandma
Amelia is so adorable! You two must have so much fun with her. Make sure to document all the fun because it is hard to remember later.
