Amelia turned 10 weeks today and we have so many things happening!
In addition to the smiles, giggles and general awareness and wonder, Amelia is now able to fart on her own. I know it seems like a weird thing to be happy about, but I am thrilled! Screaming in pain in the middle of the night has ceased and her early evening wail sessions are mostly gone! It's funny to watch her get ready for one and then let it go. Eric is amused by my amusement. I laugh every time she does it.
Then there's the pooping. It seems to be happening less frequently, thank goodness, but I may be putting on the diapers wrong because I keep getting pooped on. In fact, it was on me, the feeding pillow and then on Eric before we realized what had happened. The odd thing, though, is it didn't get on her onesie.
Of course, who could leave out the vomit, or spit up as some people like to call it. She spits up on me all the time, especially if I'm wearing something dark or a nice shirt. I've gotten it in my hair, on my face and neck, arms and back; thankfully it hasn't gotten in my mouth!!!! ( I know that will happen some day). Today was a very special day because after cleaning up the blowout, and wiping up the vomit from my shirt, I heard the cat throwing up. Stinky decided to barf in the house instead of outside.
Just another day in paradise...

I love this comment, not only because it is so funny but because it is the little things in Amelia's life changes that are so precious and wonderful. She is a gift, and you are both so very lucky.
The poops, farts and spit-up's will soon be just a musical memory !!!
Love Grandma Glenda
