It's been 2 months since I've posted anything new. Who knows if anyone, besides my parents even still check. It's been a crazy two months.
After Amelia's birthday in November, and she was over the ear infection/virus, we all were hit with another illness just a week later. It turned into a sinus infection. Boo hoo! I waited as long as I could before giving Amelia the antibiotics the doctor prescribed. During that time, she and I took a little vacay to Colorado to visit good friends. It was a blast! Despite her tummy troubles from the drugs, and then the awful candida which is not just the worst kind of diaper rash ever, we managed to have a lovely visit.
First we stayed with friends Jessica, Justin, Madeline (3yr) and Claire (6mo). Amelia LOVED it! They had an indoor playground, a gigantic kiddie kitchen, a lego table, a kid sized Pottery Barn chair, Radio Flyer wagon walker, baby dolls, stairs (oh yes, stairs!), and that was just on the first floor! It was an amazing place for Amelia to explore and play. Maddie was such a great friend. She pushed Amelia around in the wagon, took a bath with her and shared so many of her lovely toys. I loved being there too.
After staying with the Dumas', we headed south west to stay with Leslie, Mark, Aidan (one week shy of 8 when we were there) and Garrett (4 1/2). The plan was for all of us to meet at the Butterfly Pavilion for the great hand off. It was a good location because all of the kids could enjoy it on some level, as well as the parents!
I think the boys had almost as much fun as Amelia! They loved playing with her Georgie the Giraffe (better known as Sofie), all of her barrettes, the books we brought (some had creepy crawly bugs, so of course the boys loved it!)
Butterflies appeared all over the place, on the ground, in the trees, sometimes in your hair!I couldn't get the picture of one in Amelia's hair, but this one, with Garrett watching it so closely, is super cute too.
Amelia was not too fond of the stroller, but having her music box handy, made it more tolerable.Luckily for us, Leslie's boys had a Pottery Barn chair too. Amelia just loved that thing and sat on it every chance she could get!
We spent a few days with the Dengler/Mobley clan and one of the highlights was going to the Natural History Museum.

Another highlight was watching Mark read Amelia her favorite book. It was just too cute!
