One of our last stops in New York before heading home was to visit our friend and host in Brooklyn, Ella, as well as the Empire State Building.
Luckily, we have a good friend, Ella (aka baby whisperer) works in the building and therefore gets to use her company's VIP pass to get her and guests to the top.
It still took almost 40 minutes, but we did it. Amelia loved the view!
In addition to the regular viewing location, the VIP pass, unbeknown to Ella, will take you to an even higher level in the building. Amelia loved this part of the trip because she could stand and take in the scenery all on her own.
After our visit with Ella, we headed to Chealsea for lunch to a highly rated pizza place called Co. Though it wasn't "New York" pizza, it was quite tasty. Amelia fell asleep on the way there so we ended up standing at the bar for most of lunch. It worked out well.
After lunch we headed over to Union Square to get groceries from Whole Foods (big mistake to do at rush hour!) and catch the train back to Brooklyn where we were staying the last two days of the trip.
